What do we do?

The Optimistic Fiction Foundation exists to promote the spread and recognition of uplifting stories! In a world where we don't have to look hard to find bad news, books should be a place where we can find stories that give us reasons to keep on hoping.

We offer two approaches to recognizing optimistic fiction:

1) the signature Optimistic Fiction Award, handed out quarterly to an outstanding example of hopeful writing

2) a curated list of works submitted to us by indie authors

There is no charge for entering the Optimistic Fiction Award contest or for having your book included in our list. The Foundation and the Award are passion projects from published authors who want to see more uplifting books.
